From 14 November 2020 there will be a test obligation for travellers to the Canary Islands:
The Spanish government requires a negative PCR test to be presented when entering from risk areas or countries. This currently includes Germany. The negative test result may not be more than 72 hours old. It is the time of the swab and not the time of reporting the results that is decisive.
Travellers to the Canary Islands, among others, are currently particularly affected by these entry regulations. Travellers are responsible for the organisation and payment of this test themselves. The customer has various options for this: Tests are available in medical practices, hospitals, test centres, airports, on site and now also at TUI!
TUI offers customers with a booked trip to the Canary Islands an additional personal test possibility in cooperation with our cooperation partner DasLab from 4 December 2020.
This is a German company that arranges qualified tests at certified laboratories and organises the process from booking to result at short notice. The throat swab for the PCR test is taken by medical personnel. The partner laboratories of DasLab have sufficient test capacities. And this will be at several locations throughout Germany in the future - with test results within 24 hours of the smear test.
For TUI customers, the PCR test costs 84,50 EUR on presentation of the booking number. Tests for infants and babies can also be carried out at the test stations so that the whole family can be tested together. All information about the PCR tests can be found here DasLab.
You also have the possibility of having a test carried out at some German airports via the external provider Centogene. The airport test centres can also be used if your place of residence is close to the airport, but you are leaving on holiday from another airport. Click here for information about Centogene's airport test centres.
