For example, we use cookies to do the following:
Improve the way our websites and mobile apps work
Cookies allow us to evaluate and improve the way our websites and mobile apps work so that we can personalize your experience and enable you to take advantage of many of the useful features. For example, cookies help us keep track of what you book as you move through each stage of the booking process; they help us remember your preferences such as recent searches or vacation days listed and the contents of your online shopping cart.
Improve the performance of our websites and mobile apps
Cookies can help us understand how our websites and mobile apps are used, for example by telling us if you get error messages when using the site, so that we can then test different designs of our website and mobile apps. Website analytics, including Google Analytics, provide information about the number of visitors to our website and mobile apps, which areas of our website and mobile apps are particularly popular and whether there are trends such as a particular page being viewed largely by people in a particular country. These cookies ultimately help us to improve your visit to our website.
Providing relevant online advertising
We use cookies to deliver online advertising that we believe will be of particular interest to you when you visit our websites, mobile apps and other websites. For example, these cookies help us to suggest flights from your nearest airport, a vacation to a destination you have expressed an interest in, or products you may like.
These cookies may collect data about your online behavior, such as your IP address, the website from which you came to ours, and information about your order history or the contents of your shopping cart.
This means that you may see our advertising on our websites, mobile apps and on websites of other companies. You may also see advertisements for other companies on our websites and mobile apps.
To help us deliver only online advertising that is relevant to you, we also link data we collect through cookies on your device browser to other data we collect.
Measure the effectiveness of our marketing communications, including online advertising
Cookies can tell us whether you have seen a particular advertisement and how long ago. This information allows us to measure the effectiveness of our online advertising campaigns and to monitor how many times you have been shown an advertisement. This prevents you from constantly being shown the same advertisement. We also use cookies to measure the effectiveness of our marketing communications, for example, whether you have opened a marketing email that we have sent you.
To protect legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR (to protect IT security, to defend against possible attacks, to determine the attractiveness of the websites and to optimize content), we use cookies in some areas to prevent automated attacks from deliberately rendering our websites or individual functions unusable for you.
- Consentric Technologie
Our website uses the Consentric technology of Deutsche Post AG to determine statistical parameters for cross-media media usage. Your delivery or billing address stored with one of our partners is assigned to a so-called microcell of Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH (Ø 6.6 households) and this code number is stored in encrypted form with another service provider. The legal basis for this use of the address is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR. In addition, cookies are stored on the PC or other device you use with your consent. IP addresses are not stored in the process and are anonymized immediately. With the help of the cookie, it can be recognized that you are visiting a website participating in the measurement. This information is then aggregated on the basis of the aforementioned microcell of Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH and can therefore no longer be assigned to you personally. The initial aim is to statistically determine the activation performance of physical advertising on a website. Specifically, the aim is to determine how many people who have been sent a catalog (or other advertising material) have subsequently visited the website of the company in question. At no time are individual users identified by name. Their identity remains protected. Access to a website or other advertising material is stored by Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH as a characteristic of a microcell. This feature can be used by Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH as part of its other address services to select target group segments at microcell level and use them for dialog marketing campaigns. You can object to data processing as part of the procedure described at the following link: https://pixel.consentric.de/optout Please note: It is only possible to recognize that you do not wish to be recorded in the future by means of the cookie set on your computer. If you delete all cookies, this cookie will also be deleted. In this case, we would like to ask you to object to participating in the process again. This process was developed with data protection in mind and has been awarded the data protection seal of approval by ADCERT Privacy Audit GmbH(http://www.adcert.eu) as being particularly data protection compliant.
